1. Fix the commercial model first

“Middleman” is an internal joke, not a public brand. Global buyers want a checkable factory, checkable QC, predictable FCL, and enforceable deposit terms. If the only value is a markup and keeping the two sides apart, this site loses to big directories and the local forwarder.

Do not mix three legal roles: (1) Marketplace — contract is factory–buyer, you take a fee and platform duties. (2) Principal trader — you buy and resell, you own quality, customs, FX, stock, and claims. (3) Sourcing agent — you act for the buyer, take commission, and must disclose conflicts in writing.

Phase one should be sourcing agent + filmed verification + logistics coordination. Do not inventory containers. Capital lock-up is brutal; surplus belongs on the lot board later. Public copy: factory-direct wholesale, verified cluster factories, deposit FCL — never reseller or middleman. Lanes run both ways: Chinese factories out (Jebel Ali, Rotterdam, Lagos), and overseas origin into China (Shanghai, Ningbo, Qingdao, Shekou). Into China you need a PRC importer of record, HS, and CCC/CIQ where required. Do not promise clearance. Hosting still stays off the mainland in this phase — that is the server, not the destination port.

2. Entity, domain, servers: early-stage Hong Kong hosting, no invented company

This phase has no public company, no collection, and no invented address. Three legal layers (PRC mill contracts / HK–SG collection / GCC vehicle) are a later build — when the first real PI is collected. Do not print them on the live site until they exist. A permanent EU establishment would need VAT and a GDPR representative; this desk is not that.

globevill.com is the brand domain. No mainland China servers in this phase: a Hong Kong VPS is enough for a free content desk. Overseas users on overseas machines usually skip ICP. Domestic CDN, DNS, or ads can trigger filing. .cn always needs a filing.

Servers this phase: Hong Kong. Frankfurt-for-GDPR is not the current posture. A PRC factory back office can come later, on its own filed domain — not bolted onto the global front. Do not dump Chinese licences and IDs onto a public page.

PRC users may not reach an overseas front end cleanly. Accept that in this phase: grow on global search and AI search, not a domestic search-and-messenger loop. Factories use email, the online messenger they currently use, and travel — do not haul the front end back onto a mainland machine.

3. Goods after money, deposits, payments, FX

FCL wholesale is not 100% T/T in advance. Practice is 30% deposit and 70% against the BL copy for new buyers; LC at sight for large or new-factory risk; OA only for known accounts. “At least a deposit” is correct. It sells better than 100% upfront and protects factory capacity better than zero deposit.

Under PRC law dingjin (deposit) is not dingjin-as-slang (prepayment). Real deposit rules: payer defaults and loses it; payee defaults and doubles it. Copy, PI, and the button must use the same word, and must state percent, default, claim window, force majeure, who holds the money, and when the factory is paid.

Currently this platform charges no fees, holds no escrow, and takes no money. If a later licensed partner stages funds, the usual chain is deposit, pre-production lock, FRI pass, balance against BL — not a factory owner’s personal card or an offshore shell that does not match the licence. Without a staged-payment guarantee, the first container from a stranger barely happens.

FX and sanctions: PRC collection needs a real goods/services story; HK/SG collection needs beneficiary and trade background. Screen every deal against OFAC, EU, UN, and UK lists. Sanctioned destinations, controlled items, and transshipment games get the account frozen. Letters of credit cost money and move the trust problem onto a bank.

4. Build order: traffic doors first, the close follows

The site can sit empty for a long time. Polishing factory pages does not fix that. Generic “made in china” directory terms are already taken. What classic search and AI search will ingest is daily, specific threads, booth cards, and auction lot pages. Phase one is therefore: forum (community, operations, industry talk, ads), global friends as its own column, halls, online auction (including surplus). Each is its own URL, in the sitemap, with a question-shaped title, so crawlers and models have something to cite.

“Chatter” has to be indexable, not duplicate fluff. Same topic, different cluster / port / cabinet, different URL. Forum ads, exhibition ads, and friends-column ads must be labelled advertising, or search engines treat the whole site as a farm. Global friends is split out of the forum into its own column — open-purpose: trade, peers, or life. The rule is anti-fraud: no prepaid money to strangers, no mystery links. No minors.

The close (factory files, floor video, samples, deposit, FCL, inbox) can be scaffolded in parallel, but it does not own the first screen. People arrive from threads, halls, and the online auction; then they see deposit and containers. Timed lots are a wholesale commercial offer, not a licensed auction house.

Tech: server-render. Threads, booths, and lots go in the sitemap, daily. DiscussionForumPosting / Offer schema must match visible text. No PRC servers; the video CDN sits in EU/ME too.

5. Two hundred languages: a switcher is not 200 contracts

The UI can switch ~200 languages (this site lists that pack). Human translation is for 8–12 closing languages: EN, AR, ES, FR, RU, PT, TR, DE, plus ZH for the factory desk. The rest is MT plus spot checks. Contracts, certificates, HS, payment instructions, and warnings stay EN/ZH until a human signs them off. Other locales must say “for reference”.

RTL (Arabic, Hebrew, Urdu, Persian) is a product problem, not a font problem: nav, money, tables. The Gulf is a priority market; Arabic cannot be a machine-translated hero only.

hreflang, html lang, and visible language must match. That is shared ground for classic SEO and AI citation. Do not swap the body only in the browser; crawlers will keep the English.

6. Forum, friends, halls, lots, chat: simple is fine, unmoderated is not

Forum, global friends, and halls: anonymous display is fine; the back office must still bind IP, device, and time. A working complaint and take-down path is enough for this content desk. Ban weapons, medicines, counterfeit, sanctions evasion. Friends is its own column and open-purpose; moderate for prepaid, investment, and mystery-link scams. Factory booths need a licence check before they go public.

“Auction” is a loaded word. PRC auction houses need a licence; Hong Kong auctioneers may need one too. “Online auction” on this site is a timed wholesale offer: no money collected, no bid bond, not a statutory hammer. This desk is wholesale content, not a consumer cart.

Chat: keep the transcript for disputes; this is not disappearing mail. IDs and bank cards go through an encrypted upload, not the thread. You may bridge the online messenger you currently use, but the PI on this site wins over a price typed in a group.

7. Categories, red lines, export control, origin

Fit for FCL, video, and deposits: furniture, lighting, housewares, hardware, textiles, packaging, fittings, some auto parts. Careful: batteries, food contact, children, cosmetics, medical, machinery CE. Refuse: brand copies, medicines, weapons, undeclared DG, dual-use with no end-use story.

EU CBAM already covers steel and aluminium. The US has AD/CVD, 301, and UFLPA detention. Factory files need origin, traceability, and labour statements, not a sticker that says Made in China. Floor video and a real address are both marketing and evidence.

Origin marking must be true. An Italian or German badge, or a sloppy “designed in X, made in China”, becomes customs fraud or IP theft. Private-label OEM is fine. Fake brands are not.

Into China is not a one-line reverse Canton Fair. Importer of record, HS, CCC, CIQ, food/cosmetics filings, dual-use — miss one and the box sits. Do not mix bonded and general trade on the same PI. Support must not promise clearance, a VAT rebate, or “no inspection”. The export-to-China board is for those ops notes, not outbound factory chatter.

8. Classic search and AI search (SEO / AEO / GEO)

Classic search wants crawlable URLs, not a single hero. Every factory, cluster, lane, and cabinet type needs its own URL. List: HTTPS, SSR, sitemap, robots, Core Web Vitals, hreflang, breadcrumbs, Organization / Product / Offer / FAQ / VideoObject. Use each engine’s webmaster tools, including Russian-speaking markets. Domestic PRC search only pays if you actually file for PRC traffic.

AI search wants citable sentences: who you are, who you serve, how the deal works, what a deposit is, what you refuse. This site ships /llms.txt and allows the main AI crawlers. FAQ titles are questions. Visible text and schema must match. No hidden keywords.

How to feed the boards: news is dated cluster chatter; freight is THC and demurrage; payment discusses dingjin vs escrow vs LC (this platform does not hold money); industry talk follows the halls; export-to-China names the importer of record and CCC — the buyer or their agent, not this platform; online auction names close time (this platform does not collect a bid bond); the friends column says how you verify, do not write a wire-transfer script; ads stay labelled [Ad]. A few true notes a day beat one weekly “what is FOB” essay as a source models will cite.

9. Growth: traffic grows from boards, not from buying “made in china”

Buying that generic phrase means expensive clicks, weak conversion, and noisy RFQs. Your phrases are cluster + cabinet + port: foshan sofa factory 40HQ, yiwu mixed container supermarket, guzhen lighting CIF Jebel Ali. Inbound to China uses the same shape: CIF Shanghai 20GP, Ningbo import 40HQ, Shekou dest THC.

Video is for watching the factory floor. Gulf, Africa, and LatAm wholesale still lives on the online messenger they currently use — use `/desk`, not spam. EU/US procurement starts with a named intro on the desk page. HS, CCC, THC, and importer-of-record live on `/tools`. Cluster × cabinet × dest is `/notes`. Canton Fair, Dubai, Lagos, São Paulo sit on `/calendar` (offline converts). Weekly `/digest` is by lane. Partner intros on `/partners` — do not fake a named inspection contract.

Offline: Canton Fair, Dubai, Lagos, São Paulo. The job is to turn “I watched the floor” into a signature. The independent site must already be searchable before the fair, or the card is just another Chinese mobile number.

Do not: fake factory reviews, fake RFQs, force domestic short-video traffic onto African importers, promise 200-language human support, or run an unlicensed float to earn interest.

10. Pre-launch checklist

Contract: bilingual, governing language stated. Incoterms 2020 named. Deposit, release, quality standard, claim window, delay, force majeure, seat of arbitration (Hong Kong or Singapore — not a random PRC district court for a foreign buyer).

Licences: if you operate a platform in the PRC, look at ICP/EDI, commerce, and SAMR. If you truly auction, get the licence or keep calling it surplus bidding. Payments through a licence holder. Keep HS and end-use on every file before you chase AEO.

Privacy: EU cookies and policy, PIPL export assessment, retention for chat and KYC. Lawyers must write the clash between erasure rights and trade files. Sanctions-screening logs must be showable to a bank.

Content: DMCA and PRC complaint entry; brand-copy RFQs get a standard refusal; worker privacy; no underage posting. Support must not promise “customs will be fine”, “VAT rebate is certain”, or “no inspection” — outbound or inbound to China.

This brief is an operating frame, not an opinion letter and not a licence. Take local counsel on trade, payments, auctions, and data export before the first deposit is collected.
